The Best of All Pedagogies Is Our Methodology

The Three Pillars of Our Philosophy

The best practices of the different methodologies are researched continually and our children benefit from both- effective, tried-and-tested conventional methodologies, as well as out-of-the-box ideas, to create an environment of freshness, challenge and nourishment. The curriculum and pedagogy are carefully curated and selected based on their effectiveness, efficiency and relevancy in meeting the age-specific mental and physical development of children of the 21st century

When your little child asks, “Why is there a moon?” don’t reply with a scientific answer. Ask him, “What do you think?” He will understand that you are telling him, “You have your own mind and your own interpretation and your ideas are important to me”. Then you and he can look for the answers, sharing the wonder, curiosity, pain- everything. It is not the answers that are important; it is the process– that you and he search together.
- CarlinaRinaldi, Director of Reggio Emilia Preschools

The Reggio Emilia approach

We draw our inspiration from the Reggio Emilia methodology which believes that a child has 100 languages through which they can express their ideas. We aim to teach our children how to use these symbolic languages of painting, sculpting, writing, drama, demonstration and experimenting in their learning, and so do we, to aid their learning.

“To educate the whole child, his heart and his will must be reached, as well as his mind”.
- Rudolf Steiner

Waldorf Pedagogy

As Rudolf Steinerpostulates and we follow, our highest endeavour is to develop able individuals, out of their initiative, to impart purpose and direction to their lives.

Do not tell them how to do it. Show them how to do it and do not say a word. If you tell them, they will watch your lips move. If you show them, they will want to do it themselves.
- Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori’s Philosophy

Maria Montessori’s philosophy is an inspiration to us for its principles and practices that fosters self-motivated growth for children in all areas of development. We nurture each child’s desire for knowledge, understanding and respect, emphasizing independence and freedom within limits. At our school, the spirit of the child is as critically important as their mind.

By facilitating the expression of emotions, freedom, nurturing, and embracing uniqueness, a firm foundation is laid of confidence, enthusiasm for learning and a vibrant imagination. Due to this strong base in Little Zebra, the children of NLA are then ready to shine their unique light at NLA with strength in academics & skill building, and in exhibiting positive results.
